A little bit about me..

Hi, my name is Alex, I’m 27 and the owner of Occasion Hair by Alex. I specialise in bridal and occasion hair, and it is a real passion of mine. Basically, I am forever thinking about hair! I truly believe every woman should have the opportunity to feel beautiful, especially on their wedding day and there is no better feeling for me than being part of a team that can make a brides dreams come true. I have over 5 years in salon experience and just over a year in the bridal industry. When I’m not doing hair you will catch me in the gym or maybe out for a cheeky bottomless brunch.. because who doesn’t love cocktails and Prosecco?!

Frequently Asked Questions

What areas do you cover and how much is travel?

If you feel that I am the stylist for you, I am happy to travel wherever you need me for a small travel charge. Travel is charged at 50p per mile over a 20 mile radius. Any travel within the 20 miles is included in the prices.

Do I have to have a trial?

I would highly recommend having a trial as some styles may not always work with everyones hair or you may want a certain style and then end up not feel your best with it. A trial ensures we are not going in blind on the day and keeps your getting ready process running smoothly. You do not have to have a trial however the price will remain the same.

I have a large bridal party, do you have a team?

I mainly work on my own but I now have the option of an assistant for an extra charge. This means bigger parties will not have to start so early as I would have an extra pair of hands to help. If I feel this would be beneficial on your wedding day I will suggest this during the booking process.

What time will we need to start?

Start time will depend on a number of things such as what time you are getting married, the size of your bridal party and the styles everyone will be having. Its always worth bearing these things in mind when booking your wedding if you don’t want to be up to early! I usually aim for 45mins – 1hour per person (depending on style) and slightly longer for the bride with time for last minute touch ups before leaving.
